While you were sleeping..

Oh little town of Bethlehem
Looks like another silent night
Above your deep and dreamless sleep
A giant star lights up the sky
And while you’re lying in the dark
There shines an everlasting light
For the King has left His throne
And is sleeping in a manger tonight,

Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
For God became a man
And stepped into your world today
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King?
While you were sleeping..

Mary shivers in the cold
Trying to keep the Savior warm
Born among the animals wrapped in dirty rags
Because there was no room for Him in the world He came to save,

United States of America
Looks like another silent night
As we’re sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we’re lying in the dark
There’s a shout heard ‘cross the eastern sky
For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night!

America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King?
Will we be sleeping?

United States of America
Looks like another silent night…

A post for my friend.

I simply had to post this photo. It’s taken by my “bossom” friend and fellow photographer, Beth Eicher. :) To see more of her pictures go to luzphotography
I love candy canes.. and everything about this picture just spoke to me. The falling snow.. the green trees.. :)

A Christmas play.. :)

I must say.. I’ve never seen the nativity story played out in such a charming (and funny) way! Bravo to all the actors and to Laura Nettles for putting it all together and directing them.
(I think Stevie might just have a future in drama. He was quite impressive in his acting skills!)

Oh the weather outside is frightful.. let it snow!

Oh! It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

(I’ll post pictures of the entire lil Christmas village once they’ve finished making it.. =] )

And it SNOWED! In North Carolina.. in the beginning of December! We were SO incredibly happy about it.. :)

It’s pretty fun to have friends in the parade.. and they throw more candy!

… and it’s really special when your best friend is in the parade.. :)

And the Grizzards move yet again.

The house is finally done! yay!
For those of you out there who don’t know us.. this is our 14th or so move since my mom and dad have been married.. :P We’ve had people ask us if my dad was in the military.. and my mom replied, “Yep! We’re in the Lord’s Army!” :D
I’ll post some pictures of the inside once it’s set up :)
Hopefully we’ll stay for awhile this time though. Or .. at least my family will. I’m moving out in a month and a week.. and I’m not even sad about it.
